My Heart is filled after going on this Mission trip to Rancho el Camino.

There I was signing up through my church for this Mission Trip several months back. It was something I have never done before. A huge step in uncharted territory! Of which I had no idea of what I was going to see, feel, or the bonding that I would have toward my fellow mission trip companions when it was over. I must say it was one of the best decisions of my life! With no carpentry skills I was offering my strong back and my heart felt labor to help this christian based organization of Rancho el Camino. The surrounding areas of poverty prove this place is in need for the community as well as for those seeking the warm envelope of what this christian sanctuary has to offer.

I thank God for tapping me on the shoulder when this opportunity arose. I went there (LaPaz, Mexico)  thinking it was all about the labor and the projects we would complete (those were amazing). It turned out to be a lot my about deepening my relationship with God and Jesus Christ and the eleven men that made the journey with me. I was a little uneasy about going with all these guys that I didn’t know, but in the end the time we spent together working, studying scripture and sharing our deepest personal issues is still washing over me as I write this.

Rather than filling you with heavy words click the video below and take a peek into what I experienced.

About the Ranch-

Rancho el Camino serves the people of La Paz, Mexico, and around the world through recreational therapy programs and community development initiatives. We work alongside the local churches and the local government. Providing programs for children, teens, and families. The ranch has a strong missional focus among teens in Mexico and the US. We host short term teams who come to learn how to live a life of service and compassion and work alongside and through our already existing programs. Additionally, the Ranch hosts a summer internship program. Focused on raising up the next generation for a life of service and missions. Another goal for the ranch is to see it reach it’s full agricultural and sustainable energy potential.  Plans are underway for the ranch to becoming a model for modern day missions. Using renewable energy and sustainable agricultural systems to extend the gospel of compassion to those in need.
